Junior Counselor Program | JCP
What is the Junior Counselor Program?
The Junior Counselor (JC) Program is a fantastic opportunity for pre-teens who have aged out of our regular camp programs to develop leadership skills, gain hands-on experience, and have fun while making a difference!
What Junior Counselors Do:
Take on a Junior Counselor Role.
Enjoy a Customized Experience – We tailor each JC’s schedule based on their interests and strengths, ensuring a meaningful and engaging experience.
Each JC is paired with a dedicated JCP Liaison—a friendly camp staff member who provides mentorship, helps them assess risks, and supports their leadership development.
Wear their exclusive Junior Counselor shirt while at camp
JC’s commit to at least 3 hours per day, ideally for a week, but we’ll work with your family’s schedule to make it work.

What If My Camper is Too Young for JCP?
Do you have a future leader in the making who isn’t 11 yet? Don’t worry—we see you! Campers at Jen’s Camp are always learning and leading in their own way. Younger campers can still show off leadership skills, and when they’re old enough for JCP, we can’t wait to interview them
